2 April - For the symposium "INCONTRI", in collaboration with AREA 35 art gallery, a press review of Designer Jacques Toussaint will be held at the Achille Castiglioni Foundation. The artist will present " In Itinere tra Arte e Design" an exhibition dedicated to his work shown at AREA35 (13 April to 7 May) and with a performance dedicated to the four elements at the Institut Français Milano(17 April – 9 May). 3 April – For the symposium “LEZIONI DI DESIGN” in Florence, there will be a lecture of the design professor Giampiero Bosoni and Giovanna Castiglioni regarding the Masters’ Generation at Caffè Letterario “Le Murate” (www.lemurate.it - caffeletterario@lemurate.it )

A reservation is required to visit the Studio Museum (phone 02-805.3606 – info@achillecastiglioni.it).
The guided tours are from Tuesday to Saturday at 10, 11 and 12 a.m.
The visit takes about 60 minutes. There is a maximum of 20 people per hourly tour.
The ticket can be purchased directly in the Studio Museum.

In January 2006 Achille Castiglioni’s heirs signed a five year agreement with “La Triennale di Milano” with the objective of maintaining open to public the Studio Museum Achille Castiglioni and allowing a continuity in respect of its articulated work and intense archiving activities.
Considering the successful attendance, beyond expectation (20.000 people), during the last few years, the Castiglioni’s intend to continue to share with their guests the pleasure of discovering the atmosphere and the anecdotes that the place preserved.
For these reasons and for the countless projects currently involved with, the Studio Museum Achille Castiglioni is undertaking the necessary steps to become a foundation (Foundation Achille Castiglioni).
The programme consists in listing, ordination, archiving, systemize the projects, the drawings, the pictures, the models, the films, the conferences, the objects, the books, the magazines, basically the whole world in which Achille Castiglioni has worked in for more than 60 years of activity, at first with his brother, Pier Giacomo, then since 1968, on his own. This work is still held by the two long time collaborators of the studio that have been working by Achille Castiglioni's side over the past 20 years, Antonella Gornati and Dianella Gobbato.
To preserve all of this heritage in a modern way, means to catalogue it, to make it available and usable to a large public.
At the same time, the studio is open to the visitors from Tuesday to Saturday (from 10 am till 1 pm) and manages guided tours.
The guided tours are usually managed by the wife and the daughter of Achille Castiglioni, Irma and Giovanna.
This activity is becoming very demanding although very important because it allows us to share the way of thinking, teaching and working of Achille Castiglioni.
During the visit, four rooms of the studio are shown around: the room where the models and the prototypes are kept, the room used for the drafting machines and a few curiosities, the place where we can see anonymous or daily objects that Achille Castiglioni had collected during his lifetime and that he brought with him during the lessons he gave at the Politecnico, to talk about important design themes. And the last room is the "architect's room" where many design objects stand to embrace a long period of time.
