Table lamp

1971 Design: Achille Castiglioni

1972 Production: Flos

A lighting fixture created as a gift for the inauguration of the Flos shop in Turin in 1971. Flos, which can be used as a table or wall lamp, is composed of a large Globulux bulb partially sandblasted to diminish glare. The base, reminiscent of a film reel, is made of two anodized aluminium disks with holes for fixing it on a wall. The disks are slightly distanced to leave space for rolling up the excess lead. The lamp holder is in bakelite. Lampadina is 24 cm high, with a 12.5 cm maximum diameter.
