Glasses, pitcher and decanter service
1965 Design: Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni
(1965), 1996 Production: Arnolfo di Cambio (prototypes 1965), Alessi
The prototype for the set of glasses, produced by the Arnolfo di Cambio company for the Florentine exhibition “La casa abitata” (The lived-in home) at the Palazzo Strozzi in 1965, was not defined by one particular shape; the glasses take on a specific shape in relation to the beverage they will contain.
The original design was retouched by Achille Castiglioni in 1996 together with the famous wine expert Luigi Veronelli, and a pitcher was added to the service.
