SPIRALE
Ashtray
1971 Design: Achille Castiglioni
1971, 1984 Production: Bacci, Alessi
A solution for a recurring problem in ashtray design: inside the rim of a steel bowl, a steel coil that prevents cigarettes from falling in the ashtray. The coil is easily removable for cleaning the ashtray.
Initially produced by Bacci in Belgian marble and silver-plate, then from 1984 by Alessi in 18/1 stainless steel, Spirale comes in two sizes: 16 cm diameter x 7 cm high, 12 cm diameter x 4.5 cm high.
